Indian Air Force chief meets State minister of Defence
Chief of the Air Staff of Indian Air Force Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari called on the State Minister of Defence Hon. Premitha Bandara Tennakoon at his office in Colombo Yesterday (May 02).
The State Minister warmly welcomed the visiting Indian Air Force chief on his arrival and had a cordial discussion with him.
The State Minister expressed gratitude for the cooperation and assistance that India had accorded to Sri Lanka and said that he looks forward to work closely for mutual benefit and regional security.
Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari thanked the State Minister for the warm reception and said that the longstanding defence cooperation between the two countries should continue and that he would extend his support in this regard.
At the culmination of the meeting mementoes were exchange to mark the occasion.
The Indian Air Force delegation also included the Defence Advisor of the Indian High Commission Captain Vikas Sood.
