Australian envoy meets SL State Defence Minister

• Australia and Sri Lanka to foster defence ties further

Australian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka H.E. Paul Stephens paid a courtesy call on the State Minister of Defence Hon. Premitha Bandara Tennakoon at the State Ministry of Defence at Vidya Mawatha, Colombo 07 Yesterday (Mar 28).

State Minister Tennakoon warmly received the Australian envoy accompanied by Defence Advisor of the Australian High Commission in Colombo, Capt. Ian Cain, upon his arrival at the State Ministry premises.

Both high officials held a cordial discussion on matters of bilateral importance and mutual relevance during the session.

State Minister Tennakoon presented a memento to the Australian envoy as a gesture of goodwill and also to signify the occasion.

Senior Assistant Secretary (Defence) Harsha Withanarachchi and State Ministry  officials were also present at the meeting.
